The Central Bank of Malta has announced today that it has re-launched its website www.centralbankmalta.org. The revamped website, through its new design and navigation features, provides easy access to users who can now browse through extensive information and the broad range of services available to the general public.

On 29 October 2014, the Central Bank of Malta will issue the fourth in a series of €2 commemorative coins highlighting milestones in Malta’s Constitutional History.

The European Central Bank (ECB) has published the results of the comprehensive assessment exercise undertaken on 130 banks located in 19 Member States participating in the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM). The exercise was conducted by the ECB in conjunction with the national competent authorities responsible for banking supervision in these Member States, and also involved the European Banking Authority (EBA).

The Central Bank of Malta has signed a collaborative agreement with the Victor Pasmore Foundation for the setting up of a permanent exhibition of the works of Victor Pasmore within the Bank’s premises at the Polverista Conference Hall adjacent to the Annexe, St James Counterguard, Valletta.

The Central Bank of Malta will once again be open to the public during this year’s Notte Bianca event being held on Saturday, 4 October 2014. Visitors will have access to the Bank’s main premises at Castille Place between 1800hrs and 2300hrs.
