Consolidated balance sheet of the Other Financial Institutions sector based on statistical principles
The consolidated balance sheet of the Other Financial Institutions sector, based on statistical principles, provides data on the financial assets and liabilities (positions) of all financial institutions resident in Malta. The financial institutions, except monetary financial institutions or credit institutions, include investment funds, insurance corporations, pensions funds, lending institutions, financial vehicle corporations, captive financial institutions including holding companies, e-money and payments institutions, and other financial auxiliaries.
In line with international statistical standards, the data are categorised as follows: Net foreign assets, claims on non-residents, liabilities to non-residents, domestic claims, net claims on general government, claims on depository corporations, claims on other sectors, liabilities to depository corporations, other domestic liabilities, shares and other equity, and other items (net).
