Sample surveys
The Bank collects information from other national sources by conducting periodical sample surveys on households and firms. Most of these surveys are conducted in close collaboration with other researchers and statisticians from the European System of Central Bank to ensure cross-country comparability of the results. The collection of data from these surveys provide valuable evidence, directly from households and firms, with a detailed breakdown that is typically not available from existing official statistics.
Household Finance and Consumption Survey (HFCS)
This survey gathers information on the finance, income, consumption, savings, wealth and other socio-economic indicators of Maltese households.
Wage Dynamics Network (WDN)
The Wage Dynamics Network (WDN) is a research network consisting of economists from the European System of Central Banks (ESCB). The WDN initially operated from 2006 to 2009 and resumed its activities, in part, in 2013.
