The Central Bank of Malta is also publishing daily indicative middle exchange rates (updated at around 4 p.m. on the Bank's website) for selected other currencies, including International Gold and Silver Prices, which are not quoted by the European Central Bank but which are frequently used by the Maltese business community. The other indicative exchange rates are based on market quotes of the average of the bid and ask. The Gold Price is based on a.m. fixings and the Silver Price is based on p.m. fixings of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA).
