Central Bank of Malta sponsorship for Malta Journalism Awards

The Central Bank of Malta is sponsoring for the first time the opinion articles category of the 25th edition of the Malta Journalism Awards organised by the Institute of Maltese Journalists. The sponsorship was presented by the Governor, Professor Josef Bonnici to the President of the Institute, Karl Wright and the organiser of the awards ceremony Roderick Agius.

The opinion column award recognises the sterling work of newspaper columnists who week in week out express their opinions on the media in an informed and learned manner. The finalists for this year's award are Lino Bugeja, Ramona Depares, Mel Hart and Michaela Spiteri. The winner will be announced on 10 July during the finalists' ceremony which will be held at SmartCity Malta.
