Shaun Zaffarese is part of the Financial Stability Surveillance and Research Department at the Central Bank of Malta, where his work centres on evaluating the resilience of the domestic banking sector and identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities. Shaun holds a Bachelor's (Hons) degree in Financial Services Management and has been working at the Bank since 2018. He consistently contributes to the Bank's Financial Stability Report and has authored numerous boxed articles and special features addressing key issues in financial stability. He is also a subject-matter expert on the Bank Lending Survey (BLS) and the Real Estate Data Template, actively working with data derived from these sources. He represents the Central Bank of Malta as a participant in the annual BLS meeting. Beyond his professional role, he is very passionate about the arts, with a strong interest in cars and fashion, performing on stage through acting and singing, and expressing creativity through drawing and painting.
