CBM Events
The Central Bank of Malta organises a wide variety of events which are open to the public. Some of the events are also streamed live on social media. When possible, the Bank uploads material related to the events onto this website, ranging from video recordings to the texts of speeches made and presentations. Please note that some of the events require prior registration and others are by invitation only.
Public lectures delve into an extensive range of topics including economics and finance, central banking law and institutional development, economic history, as well as art history and social behaviour.
Conferences and research symposia foster open discussion with relevant stakeholders, including academics and financial market representatives. Foreign experts from both policy institutions and academia are usually invited to share their views and expertise on the theme of the conference.

It will take place at the Central Bank of Malta's Binja Laparelli, with entrance from Triton Fountain Square. The conference is being organised by the Malta Bankers' Association in collaboration with the Central Bank of Malta.

The webinar is free and open to the public, however, advance registration is required via the online form.

The Central Bank of Malta will host its Annual Research Workshop on 28 November 2025, from 09:00 to 15:00 (registration opens at 08:30), at Binja Laparelli in Valletta.

The Central Bank of Malta is hosting a seminar entitled Financial Stability Challenges in the Digital Age, bringing together leading experts to discuss developments in the financial sector and emerging risks.

The Bank is organizing a coin swapping event, hosted by the Malta Coin Centre (MCC). During the event, MCC staff will be selling €2 commemorative coins, and visitors will have the opportunity to swap or sell their own coins.
