Valerio Sergio Castaldo is an Economist in the Microdata Analysis Office. He is part of the Bank’s team for the Household Finance and Consumption Survey. His research interests include poverty and inequality, housing, and intergenerational transfers, approached from an econometric perspective. Currently, he is involved in a machine learning exercise aimed at estimating inequality of opportunities in Malta. Mr Castaldo holds a Master of Science in Economics from LUISS University and the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF).
