The Central Bank of Malta acquires all goods, services & works (whether purchased, leased, or rented) through the procurement process. The Bank strives to achieve value for money with accountability and efficiency in all its purchases. This policy applies to all procurement activities at the Bank to ensure that goods and services are obtained in a fair, consistent and transparent manner, providing reasonable opportunity for competitive business. The overall goal of the Bank's Procurement Unit is to obtain quality products and services in the most cost-effective and timely manner while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Tender 10/2017 - Health Screening
The Central Bank of Malta would like to clarify that the closing date for submissions in respect of Tender 10/2017 Health Screening Services has been extended from 27 November to noon on Monday 11 December 2017 solely in view that, contrary to the current standing practice, this call was inadvertently not originally publicised on the Bank's website. This may thus have deprived suppliers who rely on website notifications of the possibility to participate in the tender.
The Bank would like to remind tenderers who have already submitted their bid that they still have the possibility to alter or withdraw their submission in accordance with Clause 3.34 of the tender document as follows (as reproduced hereunder):
3.34.1 Tenderers may alter or withdraw their Tenders which have been already submitted and deposited in the Tender Box, by written notification prior to the deadline for submission of Tenders (now noon on Monday 11 December 2017). No Tender may be altered after the closing date.
3.34.2 Any such notification of alteration or withdrawal shall be prepared and submitted in accordance with the submission of Tenders process as set out above in clause 3.31. The outer cover of the package/envelope (and the notification and all documentation therein) must be marked 'Alteration' or 'Withdrawal' as appropriate.
