Central Bank of Malta Governor participates in ECOFIN meetings in Stockholm, Sweden
The Central Bank of Malta Governor, Professor Edward Scicluna, participated in the informal Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) meetings in Stockholm, Sweden on 28 April 2023.
The ECOFIN meeting, attended jointly by the EU Central Bank Governors and EU Finance Ministers, discussed the role of European financial markets in contributing to the future economic growth and the support given to Ukraine. During the session, Ministers and Central Bank Governors exchanged views on the European financial markets' role in financing the next generation of companies that will provide jobs and promote future economic growth.
The Governor was accompanied by the Deputy Governor Mr Alexander Demarco.
