Central Bank of Malta public lecture on ‘The spirit of enterprise: Malta’s most important asset’
The Central Bank of Malta hosted a public lecture on Friday 28 September 2018 by Professor Carmel Vassallo with the theme 'The spirit of enterprise: Malta's most important asset'.
The focus of Professor Vassallo's talk was the Maltese mercantile diaspora which was established in the Mediterranean and beyond as a reaction to the 'rundown' of traditional corsairing activities based in the port of Malta.
Professor Vassallo's delivery was the third in this series of public lectures being hosted by the Bank in the area of the economic and social history of Malta by prominent Maltese scholars and researchers.
