Glenn Abela is a Research Economist in the Economic Research Department of the Bank. He carries out research relating to a variety of topics and has published studies on saving behaviour and the exchange rate pass-through in the Maltese economy. Mr Abela is also involved in the development of new macroeconomic models. His research interests include the labour market, macroeconomic policy as well as environmental economics. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Malta.
