Swap & Shop: Coin Event
The Malta Coin Centre's coin swapping event is being organised by the Malta Coin Centre at the Laparelli Building in the Central Bank of Malta on Saturday 18 October 2025. The Event will start at 9:00 and end at 12:00 and collectors will have the opportunity to swap or sell commemorative coins. During the event, Malta Coin Centre staff will be selling €2 commemorative coins. The following €2 coins in capsules will be exclusively for sale on the day:
- 35th Anniversary of the Erasmus Exchange Programme Malta
- United Nations Security Council Resolution on Women Peace & Security
- Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum
- Napoleon Bonaparte & The French in Malta
- Birth of Nicolaus Copernicus
- Maltese Walled Cities Cittadella Gozo
- Indigenous Species Maltese Honey Bee
Silver and gold coins will also be available for purchase by order.
Entry to the venue is only possible via Triton Fountain Square, Valletta. Coin collectors are invited to join by registering through the following link.
Registration for the event is mandatory, and unregistered individuals will be refused entry. The event is free of charge and space is limited, so early booking is advisable. Every attendee must register individually, even if attending as part of a group or family and ID card or passport identification must be shown at the entrance. Without an ID or passport, access will be denied. The Malta Coin Centre is inviting collectors to attend the event and participate in the exchange of commemorative coins.
