Financial Stability in a Highly Uncertain Global Environment: Is There a Need for More Resilience?

The Central Bank of Malta's Financial Stability Report is the Central Bank's flagship report on Malta's financial stability. This year's seminar entitled 'Financial Stability in a Highly Uncertain Global Environment: Is There a Need for More Resilience?' will focus on the Bank's 16th edition of the Financial Stability Report which covers the developments that took place in 2023 in the Maltese financial sector. The key takeaways from this edition of the Report will be presented during this seminar. Relevant themes from the Report will also be discussed, of which, the construction of sectoral credit gaps to better understand the drivers of bank lending to corporates. This year, we also have the pleasure of welcoming Mr Alessio De Vincenzo from the Banca d'Italia who will be providing his views on the current European macroprudential framework.
