Conference - EIB Investment towards the green-, digital- and energy transition in small states
The Central Bank of Malta and the European Investment Bank are hosting the conference 'EIB Investment towards the green-, digital- and energy transition in Small States'.
The event, which will take place at the Central Bank of Malta in Binja Laparelli, will focus on the financing of the so-called triple transition in small states - that is how best to finance the green, digital and energy transitions focusing on the peculiar challenges faced by small states. This conference brings together a group of economists, policymakers, as well as representatives from financial institutions and the business community and will be addressed amongst others by the Governor of the Central Bank of Malta, Profs Edward Scicluna, Gelsomina Vigliotti, Vice President, European Investment Bank, and Debora Revoltella, Director of Economics Department of the European Investment Bank.
After the opening remarks and the keynote speech, the results for Malta of the 2022 EIB Investment Survey will be presented, followed by a presentation by the Central Bank of Malta on the climate change mitigating efforts undertaken by Maltese firms. A high-level panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities surrounding the financing of the green, digital and energy transitions will close the event.
