Knight of Malta was a 1,553-ton vessel built in 1929 in Newcastle. She was purposely built as a Royal Mail Ship and was employed on the mail and passenger service between Malta and Sicily. The ship was requisitioned by the British Government during the Second World War and was lost in 1941.
