Malta was a 1336-ton wooden bark that was built in 1862 for Emmanuel Scicluna of Valletta. Malta was one of the largest full-rigged sailing vessels built in a Maltese shipyard and was employed in carrying cargo and passengers. The ship last appeared on Lloyd's List in 1891.
