Noel Rapa is the Head of the Research Department of the Central Bank of Malta and is responsible for overseeing the economic research output as well as the development and maintenance of structural and econometric models of the Bank. He is also a member of the ECB's Working Group on Econometric Modelling and represents the Bank in the ECB's Heads of Research forum. He also serves as Director on the Climate Action Authority Board. He has published studies on a range of macroeconomic topics both locally and in international peer-reviewed journals. His main research interests lie in time-series and DSGE modelling, fiscal policy and input-output modelling. He holds degrees in economics from the University of Malta and the University of Warwick and is a member of the European Economic Association.
