Francesco Ricciutelli is a Senior Research Economist at the Financial Stability Research Office of the Central Bank of Malta. He holds a PhD in Economics and Statistics from the University of Milan-Bicocca. During his doctoral studies, he visited the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Bocconi University, and Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Before joining the Bank, Dr Ricciutelli served as a PhD Trainee at the Directorate General Economics of the European Central Bank. His research focuses on macroeconomics, monetary economics, and financial macroeconomics. He works on time-series analysis and DSGE modelling, with applications to monetary policy, financial stability, and macroprudential policy.
