Alessandro Vallin is a Senior Research Analyst and Trader within the Government Securities Office at the Central Bank of Malta. He previously worked as a Research Analyst in the International Policy Analysis Division of the European Central Bank, where he contributed to the ECB's The International Role of the Euro report and prepared policy notes on international economics and financial integration.
In his current role, he monitors European sovereign debt markets, assesses the implications for the local debt market, and prices and trades government securities. He holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Verona and a Master of Science in Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets from the Barcelona School of Economics.
