Professor Frank Bezzina

Frank Bezzina, PhD, was appointed Member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Malta for a period of five years with effect from 1 January 2018. He is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA) and Head of the Department of Management at the University of Malta.

Professor Bezzina teaches Applied Business Statistics, Decision and Risk Analysis, Management Science, and Research Methodology. His research interests are varied but mainly focus on investigating phenomena in the Organisational Sciences. He has published several papers in international peer-reviewed journals on risk management, corporate governance, transformational leadership, evidence-based management and statistical/methodological misconceptions. In 2012, one of his research papers was awarded the Emerald Literati Network Highly Commended Paper Award for Excellence. Recently, he also co-edited two volumes (Vol. 97 and Vol. 98) in the Emerald's Contemporary Studies in Economic and Financial Analysis book series.

Professor Bezzina is a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS, UK), steering committee member of the British Academy of Management's Research Methodology special interest group and holds visiting professor positions at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, Croatia and the Wroclaw University of Economics, Poland.
