Professor Edward Scicluna
Ms Elaine Lenzo
Elaine Lenzo is a senior currency analyst at the Central Bank of Malta. She received her BA in Economics from the University of Malta in 2005 and joined the cash department of the Central Bank of Malta thereafter. She gained experience in technical analysis and is responsible for forecasting the yearly currency requirements and monitors the recycling activities carried out by third parties. She is also responsible of the Bank’s educational campaign on the Euro currency.
Mr Gilles Noblet
Gilles Noblet is Principal Adviser at the Directorate General for International and European Relations of the European Central Bank (ECB). Before that, he served as Adviser to the ECB President and the Chief of his office. Gilles Noblet worked previously for the Banque de France as - inter alia - Head of the European Relations Division, Representative in New-York and Head of the Governor’s office.
Mr John Caruana
John Caruana joined the Central Bank of Malta in 1991 and spent most of his career in the Economics Division. He currently heads the Bank’s Monetary Policy, Eurosystem and International Relations Department. He is a member of the European Central Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee and was for several years an alternate member on the Market Operations Committee. Mr Caruana read philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford University, and also holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Warwick.
